Glen
Gillard has worked as a full time professional artist since 1979. He has been engaged in tutoring privately and conducting workshops for various art organisations throughout Queensland.
He works with oils, watercolour and pastel. Where practical, he paints on site and is equally excited by and interested in urban and rural landscape, seascape, portraiture and still life. He has had two sketch books published (Boolarong), both dealing with the Central Queensland gemfields.
He is a member of the Royal Queensland Art Society. Since 1980, Glen has held
more than 30 solo exhibitions. He continues to win prizes in various art contests.
In 1990, his portrait of 'Verna' was one of the thirty finalists for the Doug
Moran contest.
